2008 Distinguished Award Recipients Ellenor Mc Manus, MEd Distinguished Alumni Award Ellenor is a 2007 Graduate of Bernelli. She has been instrumental in developing the Bernelli Study Tours and the Bernelli Education Centre concept. She is a Linguistic Specialist at the University of Trento. She resides in Trento with her husband, Luigi Dellana, of Ora Due Jewelers.

Fred Gardaphe, PhD Distinguished Lecturer Award Fred is a Distinguished Professor at the John D. Calandra Institute. He is a professor of Italian-American studies and director of the State University of New York at Stony Brook's American and Italian-American study programs. He has written several books. Co-founder and co-editor of VIA: Voices in Italian Americana as well as editor of the Italian American Culture Series at SUNY Press.

Samuel Waldron Distinguished Student Award Sam is pursuing his doctorate in Business at Bernelli. This is his second time to visit Italy to study the cooperative system. He is the Assistant Vice President and Computation Coordinator for Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC. He resides in Brooklyn, NY. He is a native of Guyana.

2007 Distinguished Medal Winners Susan Maher, PhD received this year's Distinguished Student Award (pictured on the left in the photo). Distinguished Professor of the year honors went to Dr. Leann Mischel (pictured in the photo on the right). Dr. Robert Testo received this year's Distinguished Alumni Award. 2006 Distinguished Award Winners Three honors were given in the first annual awards ceremony during graduation in Italy. Dr. Hazel Gooding received the Distinguished Student Award for her outstanding research about women entrepreneurs in Mali. Dr. Miroslav Pivoda was named Distinguished Professor for his helpful approach to advising and mentoring students. Dr. Dolly Iannarelli received the Distinguished Alumni Award for her ten year service to the university and the establishment of the Bernelli University Graduate (BUG) Network.
