Bernelli remembers Bustam Husin, Ph.D. with a Distinguished Entrepreneurship Educators Award in memorium - July 2008 A journey half way around the world from Indonesia to Carnegie Mellon University changed the lives of many when Bustam Husin met Dolly Iannarelli in graduate school. Bustam's joyful spirit and his humorous perspectives about individuals always brought a laugh to his American classmates. Trained as a psychologist and employed in the Family Planning Unit of the government, Bustam studied Women Entrepreneurs in Sumatra. A research paper based on his work, in collaboration with faculty at Bernelli University was recently presented at the International Council of Small Business conference in Halifax this June. Bustam and his wife became social entrepreneurs themselves when they opened a kindergarten to serve the needs in their local community. He will be missed.

Ellenor Mc Manus, MEd - 2008 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient Ellenor is a 2007 Graduate of Bernelli. She has been instrumental in developing the Bernelli Study Tours and the Bernelli Education Centre concept. She is a Linguistic Specialist at the University of Trento. She resides in Trento with her husband, Luigi Dellana, of Ora Due Jewelers.

Dr. Robert Testo receives 2007 Distinguished Alumni AwardAlexandria, VA - Robert M. Testo, was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award for 2007 by Bernelli University at the graduation ceremony in Riva Del Garde, Italy. Dr. Testo has been a devoted educator for over three decades. He retired from the Faifield Public School system in Fairfield, Connecticut and continues to share his enthusiasm for education as a substitute teacher in a variety of elementary schools in the area. Dr. Testo was in the University's first residency class in 1995 held in St. Kitts and Nevis. He received his doctorate degree in elementary education in 2000. He has been an avid supporter of Bernelli University's efforts to bring together graduate students from around the world to develop their potential as innovative leaders. As an educator he also is a strong proponent of the Bernelli Bizzmobile, a 35 ft mobile classroom which travels to schools to develop entrepreneurial skills in children ages 3 to 18. Bernelli University President, Dr. Cindy Iannarelli, and Alumni Coordinator, Dr. Dolly Iannarelli, traveled to Fairfield, CT to present the distinguished medal to Dr. Testo in a ceremony at the gazebo in the town center. He is shown here with his mother, Lorraine. Dr. Testo is the son of the late Anthony Testo who was the owner of four pharmacies and instilled common sense business skills in his son.
